Doors Bring Miracles

So this past week we had 2 zone meetings, not zone conferences (just our zone was there, as opposed to multiple zones at a zone conference). Our MP did not come to zone meeting, but he is the one who teaches zone conference. Due to a lot of stuff going on this past week, including one missionary from the zone going home, we had the privilege of talking to President Weston a lot...almost every day actually. I just wish it had been under better circumstances. The zone meetings went well. We got a lot of participation from the other missionaries, and the Spirit was there, so that’s all I can ask for!

Learning Heaven

There have been a lot of different things come up this past week. We were told by our mission president that due to the large size of our zone, we are to hold 2 zone meetings with half the zone at each one (as opposed to having just one with everyone) so this week we will be busy... We also got a call and we will have a mini missionary with us from Tuesday through Friday, which we are soooo excited for! The only issue is, for most of his time with us we will be in meetings, and 2 of the days we will be on exchanges! I hope he doesn't think this is what normal missionary life is like....haha.

Tub Txib Koob Tsheej (Elder Man of God)

Sounds like a fun trip for Aimee, I hope she learns a lot! Yea, I did see the pictures on Facebook. That is cool, tell her congrats for me. It feels like yesterday that I was graduating, I can't believe it is her turn already! [The trip Michael is talking about is her graduation trip that takes her and about 100 other graduates on a church history tour for two weeks.  You can follow her adventures by going to myorigination.com and following the blog.]

New Comp Elder Tomblin

First off, I consider it a miracle that you wrote me last night instead of waiting until this morning. After transfer calls came in last night, I was more than a little nervous for the changes to be made, and my new companion. Also, some other missionaries decided to do some not so smart things last night that we had to take care of. Needless to say, I was pretty worked up, so it was nice to be able to sit down and read this letter as I tried to calm down enough to fall asleep. Thank you!

Zone Conference Training

Sounds like things are going well. I know that this can be one of the busiest times of the year, but it is exciting to hear that everyone is happy and staying busy. I saw that Elder Ormsby is leaving too! That is so exciting! I am sure he will do great. I am glad that I don't have to start at 18 months again though. [Michael's MTC companion, Elder Ormsby, who went home after 6 months, is now a full time missionary in the Houston South Mission.]

5-12-14 Mother's Day Skype

I enjoyed getting to see you all so clearly, even though it was tough to hear at times. Thanks for being so patient with me. It is always tough to try to get everything out in just 40 or so minutes. I am glad we were able to talk. Being able to see everyone happy is a real tribute to how hard you and Dad worked to help us all be close and embrace the gospel. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Cinco de Mayo

Haha Cinco de Mayo? Not really, there aren't many holidays that are widely celebrated out here....But thanks, happy Cinco de Mayo to you as well!
